Setting Paper Sizes on Zebra Printers

In this article, you will be setting up the label sizes on your local computer to reflect the size and orientation of the labels you are using. Go to your printer settings by opening the Control Panel -> Devices and Printers, then right clicking your printer and selecting Printer Preferences.

Click the Stocks tab at the top. Check if your label size is listed there. If not, click New on the bottom. Enter the name of your label (for example, "4x6 Shipping Label"), set the Darkness to 15 and the Speed to 1.5 (you can tweak these settings and see if you get better results later on). Enter the dimensions of the label, for example, enter 4 in the width section and 6 in the length section for a 4x6 shipping label. Leave the unprintable area at zero. Click the OK button.

If you would like to set that paper size as the default size so that you don't have to select it every time, in the printing preferences, click the Options tab. In the Stocks dropdown, select the paper stock you just created, and it will be the new default. Click Apply and OK at the bottom, and your new stock will be saved.
